Task Days - Saturday 1st October 10am to 12 noon
In August 3HG members helped the Friends by pulling up invasive Himalayan Balsam along the stream banks and a general clean up of rubbish swept down during the recent floods.
At a previous task day willing volunteers from 3HG went along with newly elected MP William Wragg and councillor Oliver Johnstone to do their bit for the community by refreshing the woodchip paths in Torkington Park. Well done and thanks to all involved - it is always greatly appreciated by the Friends of Torkington Park, a local voluntary group that manages facilities and events in the park.
If you or any of your friends and family can help with any of these community events please contact GSL 'Tom' Dooley (firstname.lastname@example.org) or contact the Friends' of Torkington Park directly via their website or Facebook pages. Brian 'Tom' GSL
